Tony & Olivier Award Winning producer

Judith Ann Abrams began her producing career as the Founder/Producer of the famed family musical company, The Broadway Pixie Judy Troupe, dubbed by Liz Smith as “that 30-year, show-biz-for-kids-phenomenon.” The Troupe played throughout the US, in London & at the White House, performing for the children of two Presidents.
Discovered by famed composer Richard Rodgers, Judy produced three of her musicals in association with the Rodgers & Hammerstein Music Library & Golden Records, with the Troupe & the London Symphony Orchestra. Her Pixie Judy Foundation (her Board included Helen Hayes, Cy Coleman, Chita Rivera, Hal Prince, LeRoy Neiman, Liza Minnelli, Elaine Stritch, Liz McCann & Eartha Kitt) presented live theatre to inner city children, earning her the Jefferson Award & three Mayoral Certificates of Appreciation.
Abrams began her work on Broadway as an Associate Producer on the revival of Annie Get Your Gun (Tony Award) & Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life, becoming a full producer on Spring Awakening (Tony, Olivier & Grammy Awards), Kinky Boots (Tony Award, Grammy Award), A Time to Kill, Rocky, the revival of Love Letters, It Shoulda Been You & The Visit, starring Chita Rivera. She was also the Associate Producer for the National Tours of Annie Get Your Gun, South Pacific, Seussical & Wonderful Town. Judy produced the Off-Broadway productions of Spalding Grey’s Stories Left to Tell, Cy Coleman’s Exactly Like You & Bridge & Tunnel (in Association with Meryl Streep). This year she is producing Anastasia, Come From Away, Groundhog Day, Indecent and The Front Page on Broadway as well as Kinky Boots.
The third generation of her family to go into “show biz” (her Aunt Tillie, better known as Gertrude Berg, aka Molly Goldberg, who was her mentor), Abrams is quoted as saying “If you’re from an entertainment background, you either really get into it, or you run far away from it. I chose to get into it.”
In addition to her Broadway shows still on the boards (Kinky Boots & Matilda), Judy is currently one of the producers of the National Tour of Kinky Boots, as well as productions of the multi award-winning musical in London, Toronto & soon to be in Australia & Japan.
